Mary E. Davidson 70 a native of Montgomery County and a resident of Linden for 40 years, d. Wednesday evening in Home Hospital, Lafayette where she was a patient for 24 hours. Mrs. Davidson attended the United Methodist Church at Linden and was a member of the home extension club at Linden. She was educated in New Richmond Schools. She was born April 22, 1900 to Julius A. and Minie F. Carver Lamson. She married Melvin "Bill" Davidson Jan 8, 1920 at New Albany. He died Aug 25, 1967. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Wesley (Betty) Davis of Linden and Mrs. Joe Ware of Newton, Ill; a sister, Mrs. Louis Horrow of Indianapolis; a brother, Frank M. Lamson of Santa Rosa, Calif; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister and brother. Serv. will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sat in Helms Funeral Home, Rev. Broten Martin officiating. Burial in New Richmond Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday.
